Method

Preparation of Pulled Pork

  1. 1

    Slow Cook the Pork

In a slow cooker, combine the pork shoulder, BBQ sauce, apple cider vinegar, smoked paprika, salt, and black pepper. Cook on low for 8 hours or high for 4 hours until the pork is tender.

  2. 2

    Shred the Pork

Once cooked, remove the pork shoulder from the slow cooker and shred it using two forks. Return the shredded pork to the slow cooker and mix it with the remaining sauce.

Burger Patties

  1. 3

    Make the Patties

In a bowl, combine ground beef, salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder. Mix well and form into 4 equal patties.

  2. 4

    Cook the Patties

Preheat a grill or skillet over medium-high heat. Cook the patties for about 4-5 minutes per side or until they reach your desired doneness.

Burger Assembly

  1. 5

    Assemble the Burgers

On each burger bun, place a cooked patty, followed by a slice of gouda cheese, a generous portion of BBQ pulled pork, sliced pickles, and sweet onion.

  2. 6

    Serve

Close the burger with the top half of the bun and serve immediately with a side of fries or coleslaw if desired.
