Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Ingredients

Start by cleaning the mushrooms and slicing them. Mince the garlic cloves and set aside. Season the chicken breasts with salt and black pepper on both sides.

  2. 2

    Sauté the Chicken

In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium-high heat. Once hot, add the chicken breasts and cook for about 5-6 minutes on each side until they are golden brown and cooked through. Remove the chicken from the skillet and set aside.

Cooking

  1. 3

    Cook the Mushrooms

In the same skillet, add the butter and let it melt. Add the sliced mushrooms and sauté for about 5 minutes until they are tender and browned. Stir frequently.

  2. 4

    Add Garlic

Add the minced garlic to the skillet with the mushrooms and sauté for an additional 1-2 minutes until fragrant.

  3. 5

    Deglaze with Marsala Wine

Pour in the Marsala wine and scrape up any brown bits from the bottom of the skillet. Let it simmer for about 3 minutes to reduce slightly.

  4. 6

    Combine with Chicken Broth

Add the chicken broth to the skillet and stir to combine. Return the chicken breasts to the skillet and let everything simmer together for another 5 minutes.

  5. 7

    Garnish and Serve

Sprinkle the chopped fresh parsley over the dish before serving. Serve hot, making sure to spoon the mushroom sauce over the chicken.
