Method

Pasta Preparation

  1. 1

    Cook the Linguine

In a large pot of salted boiling water, cook the linguine pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.

Sauce Preparation

  1. 2

    Make the Spicy Marinara Sauce

In a large skillet over medium heat, heat the olive oil. Add minced garlic and sauté until fragrant, about 1 minute. Stir in the crushed red pepper flakes and cook for an additional 30 seconds.

  2. 3

    Add Tomatoes

Pour in the canned crushed tomatoes and stir well. Bring the sauce to a simmer and let it cook for about 10 minutes, allowing the flavors to meld.

  3. 4

    Season the Sauce

Add the chopped fresh basil, salt, and black pepper to the sauce. Adjust seasoning to taste and simmer for another 5 minutes.

Combine and Serve

  1. 5

    Add Shrimp to the Sauce

Add the shrimp to the sauce and cook until they turn pink and opaque, about 3-4 minutes.

  2. 6

    Combine with Pasta

Toss the cooked linguine in the skillet with the spicy marinara and shrimp until well coated.

  3. 7

    Serve

Serve hot, garnished with grated Parmesan cheese and additional fresh basil if desired.
