Prepare the Cake Batter
In a mixing bowl, combine the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt. Mix well.

Combine and Bake
Pour the wet mixture into the dry ingredients and mix until just combined. Pour the batter into a greased 9-inch round cake pan and bake at 350°F (175°C) for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean. Let cool.

Add Butter and Cream
Once the sugar has melted, add the butter and stir until melted. Slowly add the heavy cream while stirring continuously. Remove from heat and stir in vanilla.
Pecan Topping

Toast the Pecans
In a skillet, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the pecans, brown sugar, and salt. Stir until the pecans are coated and toasted, about 5 minutes. Remove from heat and let cool.
Bananas Foster Layer

Prepare the Bananas
Slice the bananas into coins.

Layer the Cake
Once the cake is cooled, slice it in half horizontally. Place one half on a serving platter.

Add Ice Cream and Bananas Foster
Spread 2 cups of vanilla ice cream over the cake half, then layer with the bananas Foster mixture. Drizzle with caramel sauce.

Finish with the Top Layer
Place the other half of the cake on top. Spread the remaining ice cream over the top and sprinkle with the pecan topping. Drizzle more caramel sauce on top.

Chill and Serve
Refrigerate the cake for at least 2 hours before serving. Slice and enjoy!
