Make the Gnocchi
1. Boil the Russet potatoes until tender, then peel and mash them until smooth. Allow to cool slightly.

3. On a floured surface, roll the dough into long ropes and cut into small pieces to form gnocchi. Press each piece with a fork to create ridges.

Cook the Gnocchi
4. Bring a pot of salted water to a boil. Cook the gnocchi in batches until they float to the surface, about 2-3 minutes. Remove and set aside.

Prepare the Fontina Cream
5. In a saucepan, heat the heavy cream over medium heat. Add the fontina cheese and stir until melted and smooth. Season with black pepper.

Combine with Marinara
6. In a large skillet, combine the marinara sauce with the cooked gnocchi. Gently stir to combine and heat through.

Serve
7. Plate the gnocchi with marinara, drizzle with fontina cream, and sprinkle with Parmesan cheese. Garnish with fresh basil.
