Ingredients for Charred Burrata

Method

Directions for Preparing Charred Burrata

  1. 1

    Prepare the Roasted Fig Glaze

In a small saucepan, combine the fresh figs and balsamic vinegar. Simmer over medium heat for about 10 minutes, or until the figs are soft and the mixture has thickened slightly. Remove from heat and let cool.

  2. 2

    Toast the Crostini

Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Place the crostini on a baking sheet and brush lightly with olive oil. Bake for 5-7 minutes or until golden brown and crispy.

  3. 3

    Char the Burrata

Heat a grill or grill pan over medium-high heat. Place the burrata cheese on the grill and cook for about 2-3 minutes on each side until charred and warm.

  4. 4

    Prepare the Prosciutto

While the burrata is charring, crisp the prosciutto slices in a separate pan over medium heat until they are golden and crispy. Remove and let cool slightly, then break into pieces.

  5. 5

    Assemble the Dish

On each crostini, place a handful of arugula, followed by a piece of charred burrata. Drizzle with the roasted fig glaze, sprinkle with pistachio dust (finely chopped pistachios), and add pieces of crispy prosciutto on top. Season with salt and black pepper to taste.
