Meatloaf Preparation

Preheat Oven
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).

Shape and Bake
Shape the mixture into a loaf and place it in a greased loaf pan. Bake in the preheated oven for 60-75 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 160°F (70°C).

Cool and Slice
Once cooked, remove the meatloaf from the oven and let it cool for 10 minutes. Then slice it into thick pieces.

Toast Bread
Toast the rye bread slices in a toaster or on a skillet until golden brown.

Grill Meatloaf
Preheat a grill or grill pan over medium heat. Grill the meatloaf slices for about 2-3 minutes on each side until heated through and slightly crispy.

Assemble Sandwich
On two slices of toasted rye bread, layer the grilled meatloaf slices, cheddar cheese, lettuce leaves, tomato slices, and shaved red onion. Drizzle with tomato horseradish sauce to taste.

Finish and Serve
Top with the remaining slices of toasted rye bread. Cut the sandwiches in half and serve immediately.
