Method

Brownies

  1. 1

    Preheat the Oven

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9x13 inch baking pan.

  2. 2

    Melt Butter

In a saucepan, melt the unsalted butter over medium heat. Remove from heat and let it cool slightly.

  3. 3

    Mix Sugars and Eggs

In a large bowl, whisk together the granulated sugar, brown sugar, and melted butter until combined. Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Stir in the vanilla extract.

  4. 4

    Combine Dry Ingredients

In another bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, and salt.

  5. 5

    Combine Mixtures

Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, stirring until just combined. Pour in the Guinness beer and mix until smooth. Fold in the chocolate chips.

  6. 6

    Bake the Brownies

Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan and spread evenly. Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out with a few moist crumbs.

  7. 7

    Cool

Remove from oven and let brownies cool in the pan on a wire rack before cutting them into squares.

Irish Cream Topping

  1. 8

    Combine Ingredients

In a mixing bowl, combine the heavy cream, sweetened condensed milk, Irish whiskey, vanilla extract, and chocolate syrup.

  2. 9

    Blend

Use a hand mixer or blender to blend the mixture until smooth and creamy. Refrigerate until ready to use.

Serving

  1. 10

    Assemble the Dish

Cut the cooled brownies into squares and place them on serving plates. Top each brownie with a scoop of vanilla ice cream.

  2. 11

    Add Sauces

Drizzle chocolate sauce and caramel sauce over the ice cream and brownies to taste.

  3. 12

    Top with Irish Cream

Finally, drizzle the house-made Irish cream topping over the entire dessert before serving.
