Method
Grilled Cheese Sandwich
- 1
Prepare the Bread
Spread butter on one side of each slice of bread.
- 2
Assemble the Sandwich
Place one slice of bread, buttered side down, in a preheated skillet. Add cheese slices on top, then place the second slice of bread on top, buttered side up.
- 3
Grill the Sandwich
Cook on medium heat for about 2-4 minutes until the bottom is golden brown. Flip the sandwich carefully and cook for another 2-4 minutes until the cheese is melted and the other side is golden brown.
- 4
Serve
Remove the grilled cheese from the skillet, cut in half, and serve warm.
Fries
- 5
Prepare the Potatoes
Wash and peel the potatoes. Cut them into thin strips to create fries.
- 6
Heat the Oil
In a deep pot, heat the vegetable oil over medium-high heat until it reaches 350°F (175°C).
- 7
Fry the Potatoes
Carefully add the potato strips into the hot oil in batches. Fry for about 5-7 minutes until golden brown and crispy.
- 8
Drain and Season
Remove the fries from the oil using a slotted spoon and drain on paper towels. Sprinkle with salt to taste.
- 9
Serve
Serve the fries hot alongside the grilled cheese sandwich.
