Bread Pudding Directions
- 1
Prepare the Bread
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Tear the stale bread into bite-sized pieces and place them in a large mixing bowl.
- 2
Combine Wet Ingredients
In a separate bowl, whisk together the milk, heavy cream, granulated sugar, eggs, vanilla extract, and ground cinnamon until well combined.
- 3
Mix Everything Together
Pour the wet mixture over the bread pieces and gently fold in the raisins. Ensure all the bread is soaked in the liquid.
- 4
Prepare Baking Dish
Grease a 9x13 inch baking dish with butter. Pour the bread mixture into the prepared baking dish, spreading evenly.
- 5
Bake the Pudding
Bake in the preheated oven for 45-50 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and the center is set.
Vanilla Sauce Directions
- 6
Combine Sauce Ingredients
In a medium saucepan, combine the milk, heavy cream, granulated sugar, vanilla extract, and cornstarch. Whisk until smooth.
- 7
Cook the Sauce
Place the saucepan over medium heat. Cook while stirring constantly until the mixture thickens and comes to a gentle boil.
- 8
Serve Warm
Remove from heat and let it cool slightly before serving. Drizzle the warm vanilla sauce over the bread pudding before serving.
