Burger Assembly

Method

Preparing the Beef Patty

  1. 1

    Mix Ingredients

In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder. Mix until well combined, but do not overwork the meat.

  2. 2

    Form Patties

Divide the mixture into two equal portions and shape each portion into a round patty, about 3/4 inch thick. Make a slight indentation in the center of each patty to ensure even cooking.

  3. 3

    Preheat Grill or Pan

Preheat your grill or a skillet over medium-high heat.

  4. 4

    Cook Patties

Place the patties on the grill or skillet and cook for about 4-5 minutes on each side for medium doneness, or until the internal temperature reaches 160°F (71°C).

Assembling the Burger

  1. 5

    Prepare Vegetables

Wash the lettuce leaves and slice the tomato and onion into thin rings.

  2. 6

    Toast the Buns

If desired, lightly toast the brioche buns on the grill or in a toaster until golden brown.

  3. 7

    Build the Burger

On the bottom half of each bun, place a lettuce leaf, followed by the cooked beef patty, tomato slices, and onion rings. Add ketchup and mustard to taste.

  4. 8

    Finish and Serve

Top with the other half of the bun, press down gently, and serve immediately with your choice of side.
