Prepare the Burger Patty

Mix the Ingredients
In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground beef, salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder. Mix gently with your hands until just combined.

Form the Patties
Divide the mixture into two equal portions and shape each into a patty that is about 3/4 inch thick. Make a slight indentation in the center of each patty to prevent puffing during cooking.

Add Cheese
After flipping, place a slice of cheddar cheese on each patty and cook for an additional 3-4 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and the patties reach your desired doneness.

Slice the Tomato
While the patties are cooking, wash and slice the tomato into thin rounds.

Rinse the lettuce leaf and pat it dry with a paper towel.
