Cooking Pasta

In a large pot, bring water to a boil. Add salt to the boiling water.

Cook Spaghetti
Add the spaghetti to the boiling water and cook according to package instructions, typically around 8-10 minutes, until al dente.

Once cooked, drain the spaghetti in a colander and set aside. Reserve some pasta water for later use if needed.
Making Sugo Parmesan

In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté until fragrant, about 1-2 minutes.

Pour in the canned crushed tomatoes and stir to combine. Bring to a simmer.

Add dried basil, salt, and black pepper. Let the sauce simmer for about 15-20 minutes to thicken.

Making Pesto

In a food processor, combine fresh basil leaves, pine nuts, garlic cloves, and grated Parmesan cheese. Pulse until finely chopped.
