Burger Directions
- 1
Prepare the patties
In a large bowl, combine the ground beef with salt and black pepper. Mix until just combined and form into 2 equal-sized patties.
- 2
Cook the patties
Heat the cooking oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Add the patties and cook for about 4-5 minutes on each side, or until they reach your desired level of doneness.
- 3
Add cheese
In the last minute of cooking, place a slice of cheddar cheese on each patty and cover the skillet with a lid to melt the cheese.
- 4
Toast the buns
While the cheese is melting, toast the brioche buns in a separate pan until golden brown.
- 5
Fries Directions
- 6
Prepare the potatoes
Peel the potatoes and cut them into thin strips to resemble fries. Rinse them in cold water to remove excess starch.
- 7
Dry the fries
Pat the potato strips dry with a clean kitchen towel or paper towels to ensure they become crispy when fried.
- 8
Heat the oil
In a large pot, heat the cooking oil over medium-high heat until it reaches 350°F (175°C).
- 9
Fry the potatoes
Carefully add the potato strips in batches to the hot oil and fry for about 5-7 minutes or until golden brown and crispy.
- 10
Drain and season
Remove the fries from the oil and drain on paper towels. Sprinkle with salt while still hot.
