Dough

Method

Dough Preparation

1

Activate the Yeast

In a small bowl, combine warm milk (about 110°F) with sugar and yeast. Stir gently and let it sit for about 5-10 minutes until foamy.

2

Mix the Dough

In a large mixing bowl, combine the flour, salt, and the yeast mixture. Add melted butter and eggs, mixing until a soft dough forms.

3

Knead the Dough

Turn the dough onto a floured surface and knead for about 8-10 minutes until smooth and elastic.

4

Let it Rise

Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover it with a damp cloth, and let it rise in a warm place for about 1 hour or until doubled in size.

Filling Preparation

5

Prepare the Filling

In a medium bowl, mix together brown sugar and ground cinnamon. Melt the butter and set aside.

Assembly and Baking

6

Roll the Dough

Once the dough has risen, turn it out onto a floured surface. Roll it out into a rectangle about 1/4 inch thick.

7

Add the Filling

Spread the melted butter over the dough, then sprinkle the cinnamon-sugar mixture evenly on top.

8

Shape the Rolls

Starting from one long edge, roll the dough tightly into a log. Slice the log into 12 equal pieces.

9

Second Rise

Place the rolls in a greased baking dish, cover, and let them rise for another 30 minutes.

10

Bake the Rolls

Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Bake the rolls for 25-30 minutes or until golden brown.

Icing Preparation

11

Make the Icing

In a small bowl, whisk together powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla extract until smooth.

Serving

12

Drizzle and Serve

Once the rolls are baked, let them cool for a few minutes before drizzling the icing on top. Serve warm.
