Steak Preparation

Season the Steak
Pat the ribeye steaks dry with paper towels. Season both sides generously with salt and black pepper.

Preheat the Grill
Preheat your grill to high heat, around 450°F (232°C).

Add Garlic and Rosemary
In the last minute of grilling, add whole garlic cloves and rosemary sprigs directly on the grill. This will infuse the steak with additional flavor.

Rest the Steak
Once cooked, remove the steaks from the grill and let them rest for 5 minutes before slicing.

Cut the Potatoes
Peel the russet potatoes and cut them into thin strips, about 1/4 inch thick.

Heat the Oil
In a large pot or deep fryer, heat the vegetable oil to 350°F (175°C).

Drain and Season
Using a slotted spoon, remove the fries and place them on a paper towel-lined plate to drain excess oil. Sprinkle immediately with salt.
