Burger Patty

Toppings

Method

Prepare the Burger Patty

1

Mix the Ingredients

In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder. Mix gently with your hands until the spices are evenly distributed.

2

Form the Patties

Divide the mixture into two equal portions and shape each into a patty about 1 inch thick. Make a slight indentation in the center of each patty to prevent them from puffing up during cooking.

Cook the Patties

3

Preheat the Grill or Skillet

Preheat a grill or a skillet over medium-high heat. If using a skillet, you may add a tablespoon of oil to prevent sticking.

4

Cook the Patties

Place the patties on the grill or skillet and cook for about 4-5 minutes on one side without moving them. Flip the patties and cook for another 3-4 minutes. If using cheese, place a slice on each patty during the last minute of cooking to melt.

Assemble the Burger

5

Prepare the Buns

While the patties are cooking, slice the burger buns in half and toast them lightly if desired.

6

Layer the Ingredients

On the bottom half of each bun, place a lettuce leaf, followed by the cooked patty with melted cheese, sliced tomato, and your choice of ketchup and mustard. Top with the other half of the bun.
