Brew the Coffee
In a large pot or French press, combine the coarse ground coffee with 4 cups of water. Let it steep for about 12-24 hours at room temperature or in the refrigerator.

Strain the Coffee
After steeping, strain the coffee using a fine mesh sieve or coffee filter to remove the grounds. You should be left with a concentrated coffee liquid.

Prepare the Glass
Fill two glasses with 1 cup of ice cubes each.

Combine Ingredients
Pour the brewed coffee concentrate over the ice in each glass, filling them about halfway.

Add Milk and Sweetener
Add 1/2 cup of milk or cream to each glass. Sweeten to taste with sugar or sweetener and add 1/2 tsp of vanilla extract to each.
