Tea Base

Sweetener (optional)

Garnishes (optional)

Method

Brewing the Tea

  1. 1

    Boil Water

In a medium saucepan, bring 4 cups of water to a rolling boil.

  2. 2

    Steep Tea

Once the water is boiling, remove it from heat and add 4 black tea bags. Let the tea steep for about 5-7 minutes, depending on how strong you like your tea.

  3. 3

    Remove Tea Bags

After steeping, carefully remove the tea bags from the pot and discard them.

Sweetening (optional)

  1. 4

    Add Sweetener

If desired, stir in 1 cup of sugar or 1 tablespoon of honey while the tea is still warm, ensuring it dissolves completely.

Cooling the Tea

  1. 5

    Cool Down

Let the brewed tea cool at room temperature for about 30 minutes, then transfer it to the refrigerator to chill for at least 1 hour.

Serving

  1. 6

    Prepare Glasses

Fill 2 cups with ice cubes (about 1 cup of ice per glass).

  2. 7

    Pour Tea

Once the tea is chilled, pour it over the ice in the prepared glasses.

  3. 8

    Garnish

Garnish each glass with a slice of lemon and a few fresh mint leaves, if desired.
