Method
Pasta Preparation
- 1
Cook the Fettuccine
Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the fettuccine pasta and cook according to package instructions until al dente, usually about 8-10 minutes. Once cooked, drain the pasta and set aside.
Chicken Preparation
- 2
Cook the Chicken
While the pasta is cooking, heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Season the chicken breasts with salt and black pepper. Add the chicken to the skillet and cook for about 6-7 minutes per side or until fully cooked and golden brown. Remove from heat and let rest for a few minutes before slicing into strips.
Alfredo Sauce Preparation
- 3
Make the Alfredo Sauce
In the same skillet used for the chicken, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and sauté for about 30 seconds until fragrant. Pour in the heavy cream and bring to a simmer. Reduce heat to low and add the grated Parmesan cheese, stirring until melted and smooth. If the sauce is too thick, you can add a little pasta water to reach the desired consistency.
Combining and Serving
- 4
Combine and Serve
Add the drained fettuccine pasta to the Alfredo sauce and toss to coat evenly. Add the sliced chicken on top. Garnish with chopped parsley before serving. Enjoy your Chicken Alfredo!
