Method

Preparing Dry Ingredients

  1. 1

    Mix Dry Ingredients

In a large mixing bowl, combine the all-purpose flour, baking powder, sugar, and salt. Whisk together until well combined.

Preparing Wet Ingredients

  1. 2

    Mix Wet Ingredients

In a separate bowl, whisk together the milk, egg, melted butter, and vanilla extract until smooth.

Combining Ingredients

  1. 3

    Combine Wet and Dry

Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients. Stir gently until just combined. Be careful not to overmix; a few lumps are okay.

Cooking Pancakes

  1. 4

    Prepare the Griddle

Heat a non-stick skillet or griddle over medium heat. You can lightly grease it with cooking spray or a small amount of butter if needed.

  2. 5

    Cook Pancakes

Pour about 1/4 cup of batter onto the skillet for each pancake. Cook until bubbles form on the surface and the edges look set, about 2-3 minutes. Flip the pancakes and cook for another 1-2 minutes until golden brown.

Serving

  1. 6

    Serve the Pancakes

Stack the pancakes on a plate, drizzle with maple syrup, and top with fresh berries. Serve immediately.
