Method
Preparation
- 1
Prepare the Seafood
Ensure all seafood is fresh and properly sourced. Rinse oysters and clams under cold water. Use a brush to scrub the shells to remove any sand or debris.
- 2
Prepare Shrimp
If using raw shrimp, peel and devein them, leaving the tails on for presentation. If using pre-cooked shrimp, ensure they are chilled and ready for serving.
- 3
Prepare the Crab and Lobster
If using fresh crab legs, steam them for 5-7 minutes until heated through. For the lobster tails, split them in half lengthwise and steam for about 8-10 minutes. Chill the seafood after cooking.
Assembly
- 4
Arrange the Seafood
On a large platter or seafood tower, arrange oysters, clams, shrimp, crab legs, and lobster tails artistically to create an appealing presentation.
- 5
Add Ice
Fill the base of the platter with crushed ice to keep the seafood chilled and fresh.
- 6
Garnish
Sprinkle fresh parsley over the seafood for added color and garnish. Add lemon wedges around the platter.
Serving
- 7
Serve with Sauces
Place cocktail sauce, mignonette sauce, and hot sauce in small bowls on the platter or nearby for dipping. Serve immediately to enjoy the freshest taste.
