Preparing the Cheese Plate
- 1
Select and Arrange the Cheese
Begin by selecting the three types of cheese: Brebirousse, Humboldt Fog, and aged Gruyère. Cut each cheese into small wedges or slices for easy serving. Arrange them on a large cheese board or platter, ensuring they are spaced apart to highlight each cheese.
- 2
Prepare the Condiments
In small bowls or ramekins, portion out the fig jam, honey, whole grain mustard, and mixed olives. Place these bowls around the cheese on the platter. This will provide a variety of flavors to complement the cheeses.
- 3
Prepare the Sourdough Toast
Slice the sourdough bread into 1/2 inch thick slices. Toast the slices in a toaster or on a grill until they are golden brown and crispy. Arrange the toasted sourdough slices on the side of the cheese board.

Final Presentation
Once everything is arranged, step back and adjust as necessary. You can sprinkle fresh herbs, such as thyme or rosemary, for added color and aroma. Serve the cheese plate with toothpicks and small cheese knives for guests to serve themselves.
