Serving
Method
Preparing the Puff Pastry
- 1
Preheat the Oven
Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
- 2
Roll Out the Puff Pastry
Lightly flour a clean surface and roll out the puff pastry sheet into a circle that fits your tart pan. Transfer the pastry to the pan, pressing it into the edges.
- 3
Caramelizing the Apples
- 4
Prepare the Apples
Peel, core, and slice the apples into thin wedges. Toss them with lemon juice in a bowl to prevent browning.
- 5
Melt the Butter
In a large skillet, melt the butter over medium heat.
- 6
Add the Apples and Sugar
Once the butter is melted, add the sliced apples, brown sugar, and cinnamon. Stir to coat the apples evenly.
- 7
Caramelize the Apples
Cook the mixture for about 10-15 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the apples are tender and caramelized. Remove from heat.
Assembling and Baking the Tart
- 8
Fill the Tart
Pour the caramelized apple mixture into the prepared puff pastry shell, spreading it evenly.
- 9
Bake the Tart
Place the tart in the preheated oven and bake for 25-30 minutes, or until the pastry is golden brown and puffed up.
- 10
Cool and Serve
Remove the tart from the oven and let it cool slightly. Serve warm with scoops of vanilla ice cream on top.
