Chocolate Piñata Ingredients

Method

Instructions

  1. 1

    Melt the Chocolate

In a microwave-safe bowl, melt the dark chocolate chips in 30-second intervals, stirring in between, until completely smooth.

  2. 2

    Form the Piñata

Pour half of the melted chocolate into a balloon or a piñata mold. Swirl it around to coat the inside evenly, then refrigerate until set (about 30 minutes). Repeat with the other half of the chocolate to create a thicker shell, refrigerating again until fully hardened.

  3. 3

    Prepare the Churros

Fry the churros according to package instructions or your favorite recipe, then toss them in cinnamon sugar while warm.

  4. 4

    Prepare the Fruit

Wash the strawberries and cut them in half. Peel and slice the bananas.

  5. 5

    Assemble the Piñata

Once the chocolate shell is set, carefully pop the balloon or remove the mold. Fill the chocolate shell with churros, strawberries, and banana slices.

  6. 6

    Serve

Hang the chocolate piñata and provide a mallet for smashing. Serve with additional melted chocolate or sauces for dipping.
