Cooking Instructions

  1. 1

    Marinate the Steak

In a bowl, combine olive oil, lime juice, garlic powder, cumin, chili powder, salt, and black pepper. Add the flank steak and coat well. Let it marinate for at least 30 minutes, or overnight for best flavor.

  2. 2

    Prepare the Vegetables

While the steak is marinating, slice the bell peppers and onion into thin strips.

  3. 3

    Cook the Steak

Heat a grill or skillet over medium-high heat. Remove the steak from the marinade and cook for about 5-7 minutes per side for medium-rare, or until desired doneness. Remove from heat and let it rest for 5 minutes before slicing.

  4. 4

    Sauté the Vegetables

In the same skillet, add a little more olive oil if necessary and sauté the sliced peppers and onions until they are soft and slightly caramelized, about 5-7 minutes.

  5. 5

    Assemble the Fajitas

Slice the cooked steak against the grain and serve it with the sautéed peppers and onions in warm tortillas. Add sour cream, guacamole, and salsa as desired.
