Fajita Skirt Steak Ingredients

Method

Fajita Skirt Steak Directions

  1. 1

    Marinate the Skirt Steak

In a bowl, combine olive oil, lime juice, garlic powder, cumin, chili powder, salt, and black pepper. Add the skirt steak and coat well with the marinade. Cover and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes, preferably 2 hours.

  2. 2

    Cook the Vegetables

In a large skillet over medium-high heat, add a little olive oil. Once hot, add the sliced bell peppers and onion. Sauté until they are tender and slightly charred, about 5-7 minutes. Remove from skillet and set aside.

  3. 3

    Cook the Skirt Steak

In the same skillet, add the marinated skirt steak. Cook for about 3-4 minutes on each side for medium-rare, or until your desired doneness. Remove from skillet and let it rest for a few minutes.

  4. 4

    Slice and Serve

Slice the skirt steak against the grain into thin strips. Serve with the sautéed vegetables and warm tortillas. Garnish with fresh cilantro.
