Chicken Tenders

Method

Preparation and Cooking

  1. 1

    Prepare the Chicken

Cut the chicken breast into tenders (about 1 inch wide).

  2. 2

    Set Up Breading Stations

In one bowl, place the flour, cornstarch, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, and black pepper. In another bowl, whisk together the eggs and milk. In a third bowl, place the bread crumbs.

  3. 3

    Bread the Chicken

Dip each chicken tender into the flour mixture, then into the egg mixture, and finally coat with bread crumbs. Make sure each tender is well-coated.

  4. 4

    Heat the Oil

In a large skillet, heat the vegetable oil over medium-high heat until it reaches 350°F (175°C).

  5. 5

    Fry the Chicken Tenders

Carefully place the breaded chicken tenders in the hot oil, cooking them in batches to avoid overcrowding. Fry for 5-7 minutes on each side or until golden brown and cooked through.

  6. 6

    Drain and Serve

Remove the chicken tenders from the oil and place them on a paper towel-lined plate to drain excess oil. Serve hot with ketchup or ranch for dipping.
