Method

Appetizers

  1. 1

    Prepare Edamame

Steam the edamame pods for about 5-7 minutes until tender. Sprinkle with sea salt and serve warm.

  2. 2

    Prepare Seaweed Salad

Soak the seaweed in warm water for about 10 minutes until rehydrated. Drain and toss with sesame oil, soy sauce, and sesame seeds.

  3. 3

    Make Spicy Tuna Tartare

Dice fresh tuna into small cubes. In a bowl, combine with spicy mayo (mix mayonnaise with sriracha), green onions, and sesame oil. Serve chilled.

Main Courses

  1. 4

    Cook Sushi Rice

Rinse the sushi rice under cold water until the water runs clear. Cook in a rice cooker or on the stovetop with 2 cups of water until tender. Once cooked, mix with rice vinegar, sugar, and salt.

  2. 5

    Assemble Sushi

Place a nori sheet on a bamboo mat. Spread a layer of sushi rice evenly over the nori, leaving a small edge at the top. Add slices of sashimi and avocado in the center. Roll tightly and slice into pieces.

Desserts

  1. 6

    Serve Mochi Ice Cream

Take the mochi ice cream out of the freezer and let it sit for a few minutes to soften. Serve on a plate.

  2. 7

    Plate Green Tea Cheesecake

Cut a slice of green tea cheesecake and place it on a dessert plate. Optionally garnish with whipped cream or matcha powder.
