Clean the Half Beak Fish
Rinse the half beak fish under cold water and remove any guts or scales if necessary. Pat dry with paper towels.

In a mixing bowl, combine soy sauce, rice vinegar, sesame oil, minced garlic, grated ginger, honey, and black pepper. Whisk until well combined.

Marinate the Fish
Place the cleaned half beak fish in a shallow dish. Pour the marinade over the fish, ensuring they are well coated. Cover and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes.

Preheat your grill or a non-stick pan over medium heat.

While the fish is cooking, chop the green onions and set aside. Toast the sesame seeds in a dry skillet over medium heat until golden brown.
