Method

Preparation of Mushroom Mixture

  1. 1

    Clean the Mushrooms

Using a damp cloth, gently wipe the mushrooms to remove any dirt. If necessary, trim the ends of the stems.

  2. 2

    Slice the Mushrooms

Cut the cleaned mushrooms into even slices, about 1/4 inch thick.

  3. 3

    Sauté the Garlic

In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute, until fragrant.

  4. 4

    Cook the Mushrooms

Add the sliced mushrooms to the skillet. Stir well to coat them in the oil and garlic, and cook for about 5-7 minutes, until they release their juices and become tender.

  5. 5

    Season the Mixture

Stir in the fresh thyme leaves, salt, and black pepper. Continue to cook for an additional 2-3 minutes, allowing the flavors to meld.

Garnishing and Serving

  1. 6

    Add Garnish

Remove the skillet from the heat and stir in the chopped parsley and lemon juice for a fresh finish.

  2. 7

    Serve

Transfer the mushroom mixture to a serving dish and enjoy warm as a side dish or topping for grilled meats, pasta, or on toasted bread.
