Method

Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare Marinade

In a bowl, whisk together olive oil, lemon juice, minced garlic, chopped parsley, salt, and black pepper until well combined.

  2. 2

    Marinate Fish

Place the Hiramasa fillet in a resealable plastic bag or a shallow dish. Pour the marinade over the fish, ensuring it is fully coated. Seal the bag or cover the dish with plastic wrap and marinate in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes, up to 2 hours for deeper flavor.

Cooking

  1. 3

    Preheat Grill or Oven

Preheat your grill to medium-high heat (about 375°F) or your oven to 400°F.

  2. 4

    Grill or Bake Fish

Remove the Hiramasa from the marinade (discard the marinade) and place it on the grill or a baking dish. Grill for 4-5 minutes on each side or bake for 12-15 minutes, until the fish is opaque and flakes easily with a fork.

Serving

  1. 5

    Plate and Garnish

Transfer the cooked Hiramasa to a serving plate. Garnish with lemon wedges and sprinkle with fresh chopped parsley before serving.
