Fish Marinade

Method

Fish Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Marinade

In a small bowl, combine paprika, cayenne pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, black pepper, and salt. Mix well.

  2. 2

    Marinate the Fish

In a large bowl, add the fish fillets. Drizzle olive oil and lime juice over the fish, then sprinkle the spice mix from the previous step. Gently toss to coat the fish evenly. Cover and let it marinate for at least 20 minutes in the refrigerator.

Cooking the Fish

  1. 3

    Heat the Pan

In a large skillet, heat a tablespoon of olive oil over medium-high heat until shimmering.

  2. 4

    Cook the Fish

Remove the fish from the marinade and place them in the hot skillet. Cook for about 3-4 minutes on each side, or until the fish is blackened and cooked through. Remove from the skillet and let it rest for a few minutes.

Assembling the Tacos

  1. 5

    Prepare the Toppings

While the fish is resting, prepare your toppings by shredding the red cabbage, chopping the cilantro, and dicing the avocado.

  2. 6

    Assemble the Tacos

Flake the blackened fish into bite-sized pieces. On a serving platter, layer the fish, followed by the shredded cabbage, diced avocado, and chopped cilantro. Serve with lime wedges on the side.
