Preparation

  1. 1

    Cook the Potatoes

Place the potatoes in a pot of salted water and bring to a boil. Cook until tender, about 15-20 minutes. Drain and let cool before slicing.

  2. 2

    Prepare the Eggs

In a small pot, bring water to a boil. Gently add the eggs and boil for 9-10 minutes for hard-boiled eggs. Remove from heat, cool in ice water, peel, and slice.

  3. 3

    Cook the Bacon

In a skillet, cook the bacon over medium heat until crispy. Remove and drain on paper towels. Chop into bite-sized pieces.

  4. 4

    Blanch the French Beans

Bring a pot of water to a boil. Add the French beans and blanch for 3-4 minutes until bright green and tender-crisp. Drain and immediately immerse in ice water to stop cooking.

  5. 5

    Blacken the Tuna

Season the tuna with a blend of spices (paprika, cayenne, garlic powder, salt, and pepper). Heat a skillet over high heat and sear the tuna for about 2 minutes on each side. Remove and let rest before slicing.

Assembly

  1. 6

    Combine Ingredients

In a large salad bowl, combine the artisan greens, sliced potatoes, French beans, cherry tomatoes, olives, capers, and bacon.

  2. 7

    Add Tuna and Eggs

Top the salad with the sliced blackened tuna and hard-boiled egg slices.

  3. 8

    Serve

Serve immediately, with your choice of dressing, if desired. Enjoy your Niçoise salad!
