Method

Prep Chicken

  1. 1

    Season the Chicken

Rub the chicken breasts with blackening seasoning on both sides. Allow them to sit for about 15 minutes to absorb the flavors.

Cook Chicken

  1. 2

    Blacken the Chicken

In a large skillet, heat 2 tablespoons of olive oil over medium-high heat. Add the seasoned chicken breasts and cook for about 5-7 minutes per side, or until the chicken is cooked through and has a nice blackened crust. Remove from the skillet and keep warm.

Prepare Tuscan Beans

  1. 3

    Cook the Beans

In the same skillet, add minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant. Add the canned cannellini beans, vegetable broth, fresh thyme, salt, and pepper. Stir and let simmer for about 10 minutes until heated through.

Cook Sweet Sausage

  1. 4

    Brown the Sausage

In a separate skillet, cook the sweet Italian sausage links over medium heat for about 10-12 minutes, turning occasionally until browned and cooked through. Remove from heat, slice, and set aside.

Prepare Broccoli Rabe

  1. 5

    Sauté the Broccoli Rabe

In the same skillet used for the sausage, add 1 tablespoon of olive oil. Add sliced garlic and red pepper flakes, and sauté for about 1 minute. Add the trimmed broccoli rabe and sauté for about 4-5 minutes until tender and bright green.

Plate the Dish

  1. 6

    Assemble the Plate

On each plate, serve a portion of the Tuscan beans, top with the blackened chicken, add sliced sausage, and arrange the sautéed broccoli rabe. Garnish with shaved Parmesan cheese to taste.
