Preparation of Salad
- 1
Prepare the Romaine Lettuce
Wash the romaine lettuce thoroughly under cold running water. Pat dry with a clean towel or use a salad spinner to remove excess water. Tear the lettuce into bite-sized pieces and place them in a large salad bowl.
- 2
Make Focaccia Croutons
Cut the focaccia bread into small cubes. Toast them in a preheated oven at 375°F (190°C) for about 10-15 minutes or until golden brown and crispy. Stir occasionally to ensure even toasting.
- 3
Add Shaved Parmesan
Once the focaccia croutons are ready, add them to the bowl with the torn romaine lettuce. Sprinkle the shaved Parmesan cheese over the top.
Preparation of Dressing
- 4
Combine Dressing Ingredients
In a small mixing bowl, whisk together the olive oil, lemon juice, minced garlic (finely chopped), Dijon mustard, and Worcestershire sauce until well combined.
- 5
Season the Dressing
Taste the dressing and season with salt and black pepper to your preference. Whisk again to incorporate.
Assembly
- 6
Dress the Salad
Drizzle the prepared dressing over the salad mixture in the bowl. Toss gently to coat all the ingredients evenly with the dressing.
- 7
Serve
Serve the Caesar salad immediately, garnished with additional shaved Parmesan if desired.
