Method
Prep
- 1
Prepare fruit
Hull and rinse strawberries. Peel, pit and chop the mango into roughly 1-inch pieces to help the blender process evenly.
- 2
Measure orange juice and freshly squeeze the lime juice. If using granulated sugar rather than simple syrup, have it ready.
Blend Slush
- 3
Combine ingredients
In a high-speed blender add the strawberries, chopped mango, orange juice, lime juice, and granulated sugar (or simple syrup). Add vanilla and honey/agave if using.
- 4
Add ice
Add 2 cups of ice to the blender. Secure lid.
- 5
Pulse and blend
Start by pulsing 3–4 times to break up large ice pieces, then blend on high for 30–45 seconds until smooth and slushy. If mixture is too thick, add up to 2 tablespoons orange juice; if too thin, add a few more ice cubes and re-blend.
- 6
Taste and adjust sweetness or acidity, adding a teaspoon of honey/agave or another teaspoon of lime juice as needed. Pulse briefly to combine any additions.
Serve
- 7
If desired, fill serving glasses halfway with crushed ice. Pour the slush into glasses, leaving a little room at the top.
