Sweet & Spicy Glaze

Method

Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Salmon

Rinse the salmon fillets under cold water and pat them dry with paper towels. Season both sides with salt and black pepper.

  2. 2

    Make the Glaze

In a small saucepan over medium heat, combine honey, soy sauce, sriracha sauce, minced garlic, and minced ginger. Stir well and bring to a simmer.

  3. 3

    Thicken the Glaze

Allow the glaze to simmer for about 5 minutes, stirring occasionally, until it thickens slightly. Remove from heat and set aside.

Cooking

  1. 4

    Preheat the Oven

Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).

  2. 5

    Prepare the Baking Sheet

Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and brush it lightly with olive oil.

  3. 6

    Place the Salmon

Arrange the seasoned salmon fillets on the baking sheet, skin-side down.

  4. 7

    Apply the Glaze

Using a brush or spoon, generously apply the sweet and spicy glaze over the top of each salmon fillet.

  5. 8

    Bake the Salmon

Bake the salmon in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes, or until the salmon flakes easily with a fork.

  6. 9

    Garnish

Once cooked, remove the salmon from the oven and sprinkle with sesame seeds and chopped green onions before serving.
