Method

Preparation

  1. 1

    Marinate the Catfish

In a large bowl, combine honey, soy sauce, Sriracha, minced garlic, lime juice, ground cumin, paprika, and red pepper flakes. Mix well to create the marinade. Add the catfish fillets to the bowl, ensuring they are fully coated with the marinade. Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to allow the flavors to penetrate the fish.

Cooking

  1. 2

    Preheat the Grill or Oven

Preheat your grill to medium-high heat or your oven to 400°F (200°C).

  2. 3

    Cook the Catfish

Remove the catfish from the marinade, allowing excess marinade to drip off. Season both sides with salt and black pepper. Brush olive oil on the grill grates or a baking dish to prevent sticking. Place the catfish on the grill or in the baking dish. Grill for about 4-5 minutes per side or until the fish flakes easily with a fork and has a nice char.

  3. 4

    Prepare the Garnish

While the catfish is cooking, slice the green onions and cut the lime into wedges for serving.

Serving

  1. 5

    Plate the Dish

Once the catfish is cooked, remove it from the grill or oven. Let it rest for a couple of minutes. Serve the catfish on a plate, garnish with sliced green onions, and serve lime wedges on the side for squeezing over the fish.
