Pasta

Method

Pasta Preparation

  1. 1

    Cook the Pasta

In a large pot, bring water to a boil and add 1 tsp of salt. Add the penne pasta and cook according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.

Steak Preparation

  1. 2

    Season the Steak

Rub the ribeye steak with olive oil, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, cayenne pepper, salt, and pepper. Make sure it is evenly coated.

  2. 3

    Cook the Steak

Heat a skillet over medium-high heat. Once hot, add the seasoned steak. Cook for about 4-5 minutes on each side for medium-rare, or until desired doneness. Remove from heat and let it rest for 5 minutes before slicing.

Sauce Preparation

  1. 4

    Make the Sauce

In the same skillet used for the steak, lower the heat to medium. Add minced garlic and sauté for 1 minute until fragrant. Pour in the heavy cream and bring to a simmer. Stir in the spicy brown mustard and grated Parmesan cheese until smooth and creamy.

  2. 5

    Combine Ingredients

Add the cooked pasta to the sauce and toss until well coated. Chop the rested steak into strips and add to the pasta. Toss again to combine.

  3. 6

    Garnish and Serve

Sprinkle chopped parsley over the top before serving. Adjust seasoning with salt and pepper to taste.
