Method

Honey Bourbon Steak

  1. 1

    Prepare Marinade

In a bowl, mix together honey, bourbon, soy sauce, minced garlic, and black pepper. Stir until well combined.

  2. 2

    Marinate Steak

Place the steak in a resealable plastic bag or shallow dish. Pour the marinade over the steak, ensuring it's well coated. Seal the bag or cover the dish and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes, or up to 2 hours for more flavor.

  3. 3

    Cook Steak

Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Remove the steak from the marinade (reserve the marinade) and cook for 4-5 minutes on each side for medium-rare, or until desired doneness. Pour the reserved marinade over the steak in the last minute of cooking.

  4. 4

    Rest Steak

Remove the steak from the skillet and let it rest for about 5 minutes before slicing.

Vegan Rice

  1. 5

    Rinse Rice

Rinse the brown rice under cold water until the water runs clear.

  2. 6

    Cook Rice

In a pot, combine the rinsed rice, vegetable broth, olive oil, and salt. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat to low, cover, and simmer for about 45 minutes, or until the rice is tender and the liquid is absorbed. Fluff with a fork before serving.

Peas

  1. 7

    Cook Peas

In a small saucepan, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add the frozen peas and cook for about 5-7 minutes until heated through. Season with salt to taste.

Vegan Cabbage

  1. 8

    Sauté Cabbage

In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add the shredded cabbage and sauté for about 5-7 minutes until it wilts and becomes tender. Stir in apple cider vinegar and season with salt to taste.
