Method

Preparing the Shrimp

  1. 1

    Prepare Breading Station

In three separate bowls, set up your breading station. In the first bowl, place the flour. In the second bowl, whisk together the eggs and milk. In the third bowl, combine the cornstarch, bread crumbs, salt, black pepper, and cayenne pepper.

  2. 2

    Bread the Shrimp

Take each shrimp and dip it into the flour, making sure it is coated evenly. Shake off any excess flour, then dip it into the egg and milk mixture. Finally, coat the shrimp with the breadcrumb mixture, pressing gently to adhere.

Frying the Shrimp

  1. 3

    Heat the Oil

In a large, deep frying pan or pot, heat the oil over medium-high heat until it reaches 350°F (175°C).

  2. 4

    Fry the Shrimp

Carefully add the breaded shrimp to the hot oil in batches, making sure not to overcrowd the pan. Fry for about 2-3 minutes or until golden brown and cooked through. Use a slotted spoon to remove the shrimp and place them on a plate lined with paper towels to absorb excess oil.

Preparing the Side Dishes

  1. 5

    Cook the French Fries

Prepare the frozen French fries according to package instructions, usually baking or frying until crispy and golden.

  2. 6

    Sauté the Broccoli

In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add the broccoli florets, sprinkle with salt and garlic powder, and sauté for about 5-7 minutes until tender and bright green.

Serving

  1. 7

    Plate the Meal

Serve the deep-fried shrimp alongside the crispy French fries and sautéed broccoli. Enjoy your delicious deep-fried shrimp dinner!
