Prepare Seasonal Infusion

Muddle fruit and herbs
In a cocktail shaker, muddle the fresh strawberries and basil leaves together until the fruit is broken down and fragrant.
Build the Martini

Add vodka, elderflower liqueur, lemon juice, and simple syrup to the shaker with the muddled strawberries and basil.

Fill the shaker with ice and shake vigorously for about 20 seconds to chill and combine the ingredients.

Double strain the mixture using a fine mesh strainer into a chilled martini glass to remove solids.
Garnish and Serve

Garnish the martini with a fresh strawberry slice and a basil leaf floated on top.
