Method
Wings
Prepare the Wings
Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C). Pat the chicken wings dry with paper towels to remove excess moisture. This helps achieve crispiness.
Season the Wings
In a large bowl, toss the wings with baking powder, salt, and black pepper until evenly coated.
Bake the Wings
Place a wire rack on a baking sheet and arrange the wings in a single layer. Bake for 45-50 minutes, turning halfway through, until golden and crispy.
Buffalo Sauce (Optional)
Make the Buffalo Sauce
In a small saucepan over low heat, melt the butter. Stir in the hot sauce and garlic powder. Whisk until well combined and heated through. Remove from heat.
Toss Wings in Sauce
Place the baked wings in a large mixing bowl. Pour the buffalo sauce over and toss until wings are evenly coated.
Dry Rub (Optional)
Prepare the Dry Rub
In a small bowl, combine paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, cayenne pepper, salt, and brown sugar. Mix well.
Toss Wings in Dry Rub
Place the baked wings in a large bowl. Sprinkle the dry rub over the wings and toss to coat evenly.
Dipping Sauce
Prepare the Sides
Arrange celery and carrot sticks on a serving platter. Pour ranch or bleu cheese dressing into a small bowl for dipping.
Serve
Serve the wings hot with your choice of dipping sauce and vegetable sticks on the side.
