Method

Shrimp

  1. 1

    Prepare the shrimp

Pat the shrimp dry with a paper towel. Season them evenly with salt and black pepper.

  2. 2

    Sauté the shrimp

Heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Add the shrimp and cook for 1–2 minutes per side, or until the shrimp are pink and opaque. Remove from skillet and set aside.

Garlic Butter Sauce

  1. 3

    Make the garlic butter sauce

In the same skillet over medium heat, add the butter. Once melted, stir in the minced garlic and cook for 30 seconds to 1 minute until fragrant but not browned.

  2. 4

Stir in lemon juice, chopped parsley, and red pepper flakes (if using). Cook for another 30 seconds to blend the flavors.

  3. 5

    Combine shrimp with sauce

Return the sautéed shrimp to the skillet and toss in the garlic butter sauce for 1 minute to coat evenly. Remove from heat.

Toasted Bread

  1. 6

    Toast the bread

Brush both sides of the bread slices with olive oil. Toast them in a skillet or oven over medium heat until golden and crispy on both sides, about 2–3 minutes per side.

  2. 7

    Add garlic flavor

Rub the toasted bread with the cut side of a garlic clove while still warm for added flavor.

Serving

  1. 8

Arrange the sautéed shrimp on a plate, spoon any remaining sauce over the top, and serve with the toasted bread on the side for dipping.
