Prepare the glass
Fill a large wine glass with 1 cup of ice cubes to chill the drink and keep it cold.

Add Aperol
Pour 3 oz of Aperol directly over the ice in the glass.

Add sparkling wine
Slowly add 3 oz of sparkling wine to the glass to preserve the bubbles.

Top with soda water
Add 1 oz of soda water to the glass to lighten the drink.

Stir gently
Using a bar spoon, gently stir the mixture once or twice to combine without losing carbonation.

Garnish and serve
Place 1 orange slice on the rim or into the glass for garnish. Serve immediately.
