Ingredients for Spaghetti & Meatballs

Method

Cooking Directions

  1. 1

    Prepare the Meatballs

In a large bowl, combine ground beef, bread crumbs, parmesan cheese, egg, minced garlic, chopped parsley, salt, and black pepper. Mix until well combined.

  2. 2

    Form the Meatballs

Shape the mixture into meatballs about 1 inch in diameter. Place them on a baking sheet.

  3. 3

    Cook the Meatballs

Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C). Bake the meatballs in the preheated oven for about 20 minutes, or until browned and cooked through.

  4. 4

    Make the Sauce

In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add chopped onion and cook until translucent, about 5 minutes. Stir in crushed tomatoes, dried oregano, and sugar. Simmer for 10 minutes.

  5. 5

    Combine Meatballs and Sauce

Add the cooked meatballs to the sauce, allowing them to simmer together for another 5 minutes.

  6. 6

    Cook the Spaghetti

While the meatballs are simmering, cook the spaghetti according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.

  7. 7

    Serve

Serve the spaghetti topped with meatballs and sauce. Garnish with additional parmesan cheese and parsley if desired.
