Method
Preparation of Wings
- 1
Prepare the Chicken Wings
Begin by rinsing the chicken wings under cold water. Pat them dry with paper towels to remove excess moisture, which helps achieve a crispy texture.
- 2
Make the Coating Mixture
In a large bowl, combine the all-purpose flour, cornstarch, salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and paprika. Mix well until evenly combined.
- 3
Coat the Wings
Add the chicken wings to the coating mixture. Toss them until they are evenly coated. Shake off any excess flour mixture.
Frying the Wings
- 4
- 5
Fry the Wings
Carefully add the coated wings in batches to the hot oil, being cautious not to overcrowd the pan. Fry for about 8-10 minutes or until golden brown and crispy, turning occasionally for even cooking.
- 6
Drain the Wings
Once cooked, use a slotted spoon to remove the wings from the oil and transfer them to a plate lined with paper towels to drain any excess oil.
Tossing in Sauce
- 7
Choose and Toss in Sauce
In a large bowl, add the fried wings and pour your choice of sauce (Buffalo, BBQ, or Honey Garlic) over the top. Toss gently to coat the wings evenly in the sauce.
