Method

Burger Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Patties

Season both sides of the prime rib burger patties with salt and black pepper. Preheat a grill or skillet over medium-high heat.

  2. 2

    Cook the Patties

Place the seasoned patties on the grill or skillet and cook for about 4-5 minutes per side for medium doneness. Cook longer if desired for well-done burgers.

  3. 3

    Cook the Bacon

In a separate skillet, cook the bacon strips over medium heat until crispy. Remove and drain on paper towels.

  4. 4

    Sauté the Mushrooms

In the same skillet with the bacon drippings, add sliced mushrooms and sauté for about 5 minutes until tender. Remove from heat.

Onion Rings Preparation

  1. 5

    Prepare the Onion

Peel and slice the onion into thick rings.

  2. 6

    Batter the Onion Rings

In a bowl, combine flour, a pinch of salt, and beer to create a batter. Dip each onion ring into the batter, ensuring they are well-coated.

  3. 7

    Fry the Onion Rings

Heat oil in a deep fryer or pot to 375°F (190°C). Carefully add the battered onion rings and fry until golden brown, about 3-4 minutes. Drain on paper towels.

Assembly

  1. 8

    Assemble the Burgers

On a serving plate, place one burger patty. Top with sautéed mushrooms, bacon, lettuce, tomato slices, and bleu cheese crumbles. Place a second burger patty on top.

  2. 9

    Add Onion Rings

Garnish the top of the double stack with several beer-battered onion rings.

  3. 10

    Serve

Serve the Treehouse Double Stack with your favorite side and enjoy!
