Method

Burger Preparation

  1. 1

    Grill the Burger Patties

Preheat your grill to medium-high heat. Season the prime rib burger patties with salt and black pepper on both sides. Grill the patties for about 4-5 minutes on each side or until they reach your desired doneness.

  2. 2

    Melt the Cheese

In the last minute of grilling, place a slice of Gouda cheese on each burger patty to melt. Close the grill lid to help the cheese melt.

  3. 3

    Cook the Onions and Mushrooms

While the burgers are grilling, slice the onion and mushrooms. In a skillet over medium heat, add a little oil and sauté the sliced onions until they are golden brown, about 5 minutes. Add the mushrooms and cook for an additional 3-4 minutes until they are tender.

  4. 4

    Prepare the Buns

Toast the burger buns on the grill for about 1-2 minutes until they are lightly browned.

Remoulade Sauce Preparation

  1. 5

    Mix the Sauce

In a mixing bowl, combine the mayonnaise, Dijon mustard, chopped capers, chopped parsley, lemon juice, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and black pepper. Stir until well combined and adjust seasoning to taste.

Assembly

  1. 6

    Assemble the Burger

On the bottom half of each toasted bun, spread a generous amount of the remoulade sauce. Place the grilled burger patty with melted Gouda on top, followed by sautéed onions, mushrooms, and a handful of pepperoncini. Top with the other half of the bun.
